Going into its 15th iteration of Gem & Jam, the festival wanted to find ways to give back to the local community that’s been home to the beautiful experience. Green Disco partnered with Gem & Jam to help the festival forge meaningful and credible partnerships with local nonprofit organizations and with verified carbon-offsetting projects to neutralize audience transport emissions.

As the on-the-ground partner for the Tucson Million Trees initiative, TC&B has canvassed 43,000 households and planted 6,260 trees at 2,180 households in 48 neighborhoods. Over the past six years, they have installed over 70 rain gardens & trained and paid 88 unique high and middle schoolers to help plant and care for trees.

THE PROJECT & IMPACT

Pachama is a mission-driven company restoring nature to help solve climate change. Through innovative AI and harnessing satellite data, Pachama helps companies and individuals confidently invest in high-quality carbon credits.

THE ORGANIZATION

Every year Indonesia loses over 2.5MM hectares of forest, often due to clearing for agricultural use - this is an area roughly equivalent to the size of Belgium. The Provincial government planned to convert the Central Kalimantan Peatlands, which can store 20x more carbon than typical forests, into palm oil estates.
