Sustainability is at the forefront of High Tide’s mission, and the event has been committed to making a positive social and environmental impact on the world. The ocean and coastal region are very close to the heart of High Tide, with the festival held at beautiful waterfront locations in the southeast. Green Disco partnered with High Tide to help the festival stay true to its environmental ethos and to support marine-based impacts.

Seven Clean Seas has pulled millions of plastic directly out of the ocean and waterways - creating permanent and lasting change in the top seven most polluted areas of the world.
THE ORGANIZATION
While the Bintan Island in the Riau Archipelago (Indonesia) has a population of over 150,000 people and is home to several marine protected areas, it is also highly polluted by marine plastic pollution due to its geographic location.
THE PROJECT
As of 2023, Seven Clean Seas employed 80 local community members through the cleanup crews, providing economic and social support to the locals while also building their first Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) to sort for recycling and secondary processing.
